Painting method

Friction gun is not suitable for metal powder coating. In most cases, electrostatic spray gun is recommended for painting. Since this type of product contains metallic pigment, it is necessary to ensure good grounding of the system when using the electrostatic gun. At the same time, set a low electrostatic voltage and powder output to prevent ignition during spraying. The effect of film formation is closely related to the setting, quality or brand of the spray gun. After spraying for a long time, a large amount of metal powder may accumulate at the discharge needle of the spray gun, which requires the operator to clean the discharge needle regularly.

In most cases, due to the large error, it is not recommended to use glossmeter to measure the gloss of metal appearance film, but only use visual contrast method to judge whether it is consistent with the standard sample plate.

Recyclability

For the powder made by dry mixing method, due to the separation phenomenon in the spraying and recycling process, there will be a certain difference in the metal pigment content between the recycled powder and the new powder, which may lead to the inconsistent appearance of the coating film and the phenomenon of color deviation. This is due to the difference in properties between metallic pigments and powder particles. We suggest that the ratio of recycled powder to new powder should be at least 1:4. If the powder coating is made by bonding fixation method, because the ratio between metal pigment and powder particles is relatively fixed, the recycled powder can be completely reused.

In order to ensure the appearance effect of the finish coat, the workpiece must not be polluted. Therefore, it is generally necessary to have a fully automatic spraying line and two sets of independent spraying rooms for separate coating.

It is recommended that the user should not spray the coating under normal conditions. It can only be used when the requirements are very high, such as household appliances, automobile wheel hub and outdoor use (to ensure weather resistance).

2. Keep spraying conditions stable as far as possible

a) Using the same set of spraying equipment, using the same voltage, air pressure and other parameters;

b) Keep the distance between the spray gun and the workpiece unchanged as far as possible, and keep the stability of film thickness as far as possible;

c) Ensure that the powder coating has been fully fluidized before spraying;

d) When using recycled powder, the ratio of recycled powder to new powder should be at least 1:4.
